Had a fabulous time. The band was great and the audience was kicking. We performed Oh Come Let Us Adore Him. The audience quickly obliged to join in the chorus. This was followed by my Christmas selection Because of Love. We had the audience clapping and singing along even though the song was new to some. Thanks to all my band mate for the excellent effort.

Maybe you have not been in touch with those you were close to for a while, and there is the little "moment" when you try to exchange ideas and just talk.

It's really strange after you get past the "Hi, how you doing?". "I'm good, and you?" and then the uncomfortable two minute void.

How do you all deal with that?

N.B Let's remember to pray for each other we can't live alone.

Thank you for the trouble

Lord I thank you for every difficulty I've ever faced because they helped to give me determination and gave you an opportunity to make yourself real to me. I thank you that even though I didn't have everything while I was growing up I had a mother who demonstrated you to me. I thank you for the times when all we had to eat was potato and the times when all we had was chicken neck because when we prayed you sent someone with carrots and flour and more.

Thank you that even though I didn't attend the prestige school, that you put great God fearing teachers to watch over me. Those teachers kept me in line even when I wanted to go off and follow friends. Those teachers helped me to see the big picture of life. Thank you for protecting me that times that I let youthful folly take over me and break beech with friends that you still protected me.

Thank you for providing for my education even though my mother didn't have the money. Thank you for keeping me under your watch when I went away to work. Thank you that your word did keep me and preserve me from destruction.

Thank you for every believer that sees it their business to speak ill of me, to decide that I am not your servant, that my motives are for emotional masterbation. Thank you for every unbeliever that washes their mouth on me. These things have helped me to develop a internal fortitude to keep serving you knowing that you observe all my ways and examine my heart. That your eyes run to and fro to strengthen me because my heart is fully committed to you.

Thank you for my jobs. You have always provided for me, a place to shine and show your glory. Thank you that you are with me to direct my path.

Lord just thanks in general for being in and with me through it all. I know that at the end of it all you will be seen and not me.

Bless...

Gimme A Bligh

I've been thinking... about this bligh thing. We say we are christians. We wake up in the morning and "say we prayers" then we do whatever we want during the day. We bounce our toes and then we say "oh Jesus". We about to eat we "say we prayers". We about to sleep we "say we prayers".

Now I'm not against prayer folks, but hear me out. Living for Jesus is not giving him a "BLIGH" whenever we need him. We don't tell anyone about Christ because "all roads supposedly lead to the same place". We prefer to say "believe in yourself you can do it" and not say "Lean not to your own understanding" or "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge". Folks having a discussion about God and we stay out because "we don't like to talk about religion".

So we continue to give God a 'bligh" once things nice with us we don't need him. A lil disaster comes and God becomes so important. We live without God until someone dies or a crisis hit our stability.

Could we stop giving God a "bligh" and give him our entire being. Serving Jesus is great!!!

Bless

Washing our mouth

Why is it that we are always so quick to perceive ill of someone? Of their motives? Of the reason they cannot fulfill a task or an event that seems so easy to us?

So easy to jump to a conclusion about them most times without asking them; why? How come? What happened?

So easy to look at them through our dirty glasses? So easy to turn our backs on them because we perceive they are now filthy? because of their clothes or their job or their family history?

So easy to verbally masterbate to make ourselves feel better than them? To plunge the icepick of self-righteousness deep into their heart because of difference of opinion?

So easy to expect people to fail without extending a helping hand? To expect them to forget Christ because of your opinion of a career?

So easy to cast a verdict?

But it is important that these things happen. Opposition is important for growth. It is important for character development. The bible says to count it joy... because testing develops perseverance and perseverance must finish its work so that we may be mature and complete not lacking anything (James 1:3-4).

Press on people though people even those close to you wash their mouth on you.

Bless
