I wrote this for one of my classes it was the introduction for my sociology group project. It inspired me and thought I'd share it with you all.

Good evening all. My name is HIV/AIDS. I am the handsome guy at the gym or the sexy chick at the party. I am the priest, the pundit or even the pastor. I Love to travel. I don't have feet of my own so I use yours. I don't have a car of my own, so I rent yours. I even like to use the bicycle, to visit the neighbour.

Most of all I love the airplane. I can get form Africa to Trinidad and Tobago in at least 24hrs. I can get from Trinidad to Tobago in ten minutes, and that is how I get around. I'm here today to tell you my story.

My full name is Human Immunodeficiency Virus and when I grow up they call me Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. I love people of all ethnic groups, all ages, every social class and every gender. Before I travel, I like to catch a ride in your body. So, I wait until you are careless and take a chance for some sex and exchange fluids. Or maybe you like to inject, to get a nice head either way that's my ticket.

I take control of your body's ability to fight me of by fooling it to make more of me. Many have tried to stop me. They use condoms and drugs, but I am smarter than them all. Because you desire for sex is so strong and you lack self control, I continue to circle the globe. However I'll let my friends tell you more.

Hi everyone,

Hope this meets you all well and in good health. Today I'm dealing with "Cry".

Ever had a period in your life when everything seems to be going wrong even when you put your best foot forward? Or you continue to do what is right because you know that it is the best way to go and yet still seems like hell has opened? Well my friends welcome to planet EARTH.

Earth is filled with constant problems and other human beings who do see things the way you do and in fact never will. Sometime we feel as if we are being naive to continue doing what is right and still have folks lie to us and about us. We want to say the #$@$%$^&#$% words to sometimes. Then, there are the time when we can't hold it back anymore and we just CRY!!!!

Cry because we are hurt. Cry because we've done our best and still it has not turned around. Cry because we are tired of trying. Cry because that's the last thing we can do.

Truth be told nothing is wrong with Crying or feeling discouraged. The problem is when we stay there in that emotion and allow it to control our days. We can run to God and cry, he will understand what's inside.

We are reminded; whatsoever things are true and pure an lovely.... think on these things. God does understand and he does care.

Hi everyone thanks to those of you that have commented to the song blogs hope these insights are helpful.

Today I'm dealing with "Call My Name"

Honestly I can't remember the exact circumstances, but I know I wrote this song while working on the cruise ship Voyager of The Seas. Written on the 23rd of April 2001. Working on a cruise ship is quite a challenge. If have a personal relationship with Christ it's all the more challenging. How do you keep your faith alive and live in a world that's contrary? Answer the basics.

While on the seas I kept my daily devotion alive and continued to pray and fast once a week. I mingled as much as possible with people of like mind to keep myself alight with passion for God.

One time I just remember God saying "Call My Name". You may say but I hear people calling all the fancy name Jehovah this and Jehovah that I don't know about those. The thing is that these names revealed a part of God to an individual. All of us can get there, if we'd just call his name...

I must say thanks to the great musicians that worked on this track Earl Browne, Lincoln "Shaka" Douglas, Lenore Syder and Johnathon Hensely.

Father Take Me Back

Ok so this is song blog #2

I remember writing this song clearly. I was in the mango tree at the back of our house. I went there to think and clear my head. I had been struggling to stop a serious habit. The habit... masterbation. Yup I did that. That last time I feel so awful with my self after asking God to forgive me over and over again and more than anything else struggling to forgive myself.

I just wanted to get back to where I was with God when things were all pure and my mind was single and life simple. Not having to see a lady and have thoughts bombarding my mind. Now you can see a lady and say the she's beautiful without thinking anything else, but that wasn't the case.

So there I was up in the mango tree praying and asking God to forgive me and take me back (reminds me the of Andrae Crouch song.)Well that was the last time I did it never bothered me again. God really heard my cry and answered.

There is indeed no condemnation to those who are in Christ, for the law of the spirit of life in Christ has set us free from the law of sin and death. I must say thanks to Mention for featuring on this track.

1 Peter 1:18-19

Ok folks, this is my first song blog. The story behind the songs on my first Cd. Today I'm talking about 1 Peter 1:18-19.

Well as the title suggests, this song is taken from the book of first Peter. I was reading my bible (yeah I still do that :)) and this just came alive to me. It was kinda like a validation of my importance and worth.

I immediately set about developing the idea... took me about two weeks and that was it. I first perfomed this song in 1999 with my good Friend Pj Harper and his band at my church.

This song continues to morph every time I perform it and it still continues to encourage me and those who listen to it.

Yes a familiar song for the hundreds of us that are Sunday school babies. But what does it mean?

Well, what ever we focus on the most, we become better at it, we grow stronger, more knowledgeable. Additionally, the person we spend time with we know them better. The more we talk to them, read their letters and look at their pictures the more we know them.

So no matter what our life talent we may find ourselves studying that more than anything else. So whether you're an accountant, doctor, chemist, or musician we all face the same challenge. Practice and study or get to know the life giver.

Relationship ensures that life continues to flow. That's what it means. Stay connected and life will flow. So I want to be a better musician, I put in practice every night, but not at the expense of life. Therefore I stay connected.

Gray Hair

Ok so I found my first gray hair today. Was quite surprised a bit saddened as well. But, then, I started to think... hmmmmmm. What does a gray hair mean? Well it means that God has been good to me. He has been faithful through each and every situation that I have faced.
It means that I am getting older. But that is not a bad thing as I am growing each day wiser, stronger, more loving and forgiving each day. It means that though I older I still look like 26 :):):) thanks to God's grace and life in me.
It means that I am alive and have the opportunity to make choices that will correct or aid in rectifying bad choices I made in the past.
It's a reminder that in life things change, and, so, I have the opportunity to change for the better. That God is constant and thus I can trust him.

What does gray hair mean to you?

In A Strange Land

Can we sing the Lords song a strange Land? Because of my culinary training I am thinking about an onion. We use these for decorative purposes as well as for flavour. In this case decorative.

What we do is soak the onion in a solution that is coloured either red, green, blue whatever colour we desire. After some hours the onion abosords some of the colour. But it has not lost it's structure and content. It's still an onion.

The onion still smells like an onion, still tastes like an onion still retains it's onioness inspite of the slight change in colour.

Maybe we can be like the onion while we are in this strange land keep our structure that Christ gave us, remain attached so that our content will not change. The discolouration cause by battles will bring glory to God.

In closing Yes!! we can sing the Lords song in a strange land. Your land might be your school, or your office, or your home where ever it is SING SING SING

How do you plan to celebrate the entrance of God into the world through Christ?

Let's face it with Christ there'd only be mas and we all know the madness that is mas. I'm all for the Sorrel, Ponch De Creme, Ham, Black cake and parang and stuff, but let's remember to invite Christ to his birthday party too.

So how do you plan to remember his love on this day.

It was a great evening. I worked with some great musicians, singers and technical staff. we sang we danced we lifted Jesus high we had fun. I'm thankful fro every single person that came out and made the evening a lil more special. Looking forward to the next production.
